At BOOST The World, we turn ideas into action. Our approach combines education, sustainability and practical skills to build communities that can stand on their own.
Building Foundations for Life
We purchase land and teach communities how to grow healthy food. We build nurseries, vegetable gardens and orchards, and to make that possible, we drill water wells, which takes expertise and the right equipment.
Water pumps need electricity. In most locations, the sun shines abundantly, so solar panels are essential, along with connections to the local grid where possible. This work also creates jobs and economic opportunity for the community itself.
how we build
Education that lasts
We build open-air classrooms where children learn to read, write and count. We go further than that: we teach practical skills, how to work with others, and how to take responsibility, the foundations these children carry into their families and communities as they grow.
Our approach
We're building learning communities, starting with our work in Hoedspruit, South Africa. Young leaders, mentors, volunteers and community members work together, and as each community grows stronger, it becomes a model we can learn from and build on elsewhere.
